Get Know Us
We want to know everything about you, so here’s a little about us...We are Nadia & Gunnar: a wedding photographer team based in Southern California. We love the outdoors, good movies, and yummy food. We met during our early years in college on our school swim team and had photography classes together later on. It was through our mutual love of photography that we started dating.
Fast forward seven years and we are still madly in love. We are both passionate with two diverse backgrounds: Nadia in fine art and Gunnar in journalism/documentary film making.
We feel we are blessed to be able to pursue a career in what we love together. We are about what’s real; capturing life’s small (and large!) details and moments and at the same time, doing it creatively.
Who We Are
“GUNNAR IS THE MOST MELLOW AND INTENSE PERSON THAT I HAVE EVER MET (I KNOW ITS CONTRADICTING, JUST LIKE A STARBURST) AFTER STUDYING AT BROOKS INSTITUTE FOR VISUAL JOURNALISM, GUNNAR MADE THE DECISION TO FURTHER HIS CAREER IN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY.
HE LOVES THE GREAT OUTDOORS (MOUNTAIN, DESERT, OCEAN, FOREST, YOU NAME IT). WHENEVER HE HAS FREE TIME HE CAN BE FOUND IN THE OUTDOORS, HE JUST PACKS HIS BAG AND GOES.
HE'S AN AWESOME SWIM COACH (WE MET ON THE COLLEGE SWIM TEAM, HE'S NOT A BAD SWIMMER HIMSELF). DON'T BE FOOLED BY HIS QUIET DEMEANOR HE CAN CRACK A JOKE OR TWO WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT.
HE HAS A DRY HUMOR AND KINDEST HEART.
YOU’LL LIKE HIM. I DO.” –NADIA
“NADIA IS THE ONE OF THE MOST SELFLESS AND CARING INDIVIDUALS THAT I HAVE EVER MET, AND QUITE THE CREATIVE. influenced by the greats Alex Prager and cindy Sherman she decided to pursue portraiture. It was PORTRAITURE THAT DREW HER TO WEDDINGS.
IF NOT BEHIND THE CAMERA, NADIA CAN BE FOUND PUTTING SOME PAINT TO CANVAS CREATING SOME "HEATHER BROWN" INSPIRED WORKS, PRACTICING HER CALLIGRAPHY, OR HONING HER MAD Indonesian COOKING SKILLS whipping up some "Indo fried Rice" (SHE IS A AWESOME COOK).
SHE LOVES TO TRAVEL AND IS ALWAYS DOWN FOR LAST MINUTE CAMPING TRIPS.
SHE IS A FOODIE EVEN THOUGH SHE MIGHT NOT THINK SO." –GUNNAR
